RoboShade - An Interactive Robot Arm for Shadow Puppet Show
To bridge the gap between STEM and the arts, Solvers of X & Y developed an innovative educational tool that combines technology with artistic expression through the traditional art of shadow puppetry. From motor selection and torque analysis to 3D modeling in SolidWorks and physics simulations in Blender, this team showcased exceptional teamwork and the impressive capabilities of young students developed through rigorous training on the FLL platform, culminating in their Kickstarter campaign.

Introducing Octa-Master!
Meet Octa-Master - a compact and versatile Spike Prime robot capable of managing 8 outputs with just 2 motors, all powered by Python coding. This project represents the culmination of lessons learned over previous seasons. In our first transition from EV3 to Spike Prime, our student coding team made an extraordinary contribution by developing a complete Python library, setting a new standard for innovation and teamwork.

VisionGame - Next Gen Video Game Control Using Hand Gestures
Recognizing the growing gap between rapid technological advancements and traditional education systems, Solvers of Infinity created an interactive educational video game system powered by cutting-edge computer vision technology, specifically OpenCV. This innovation allows players to control video games through hand gestures. Building on this foundation, the team integrated AI functionality into a classic rock-paper-scissors game using the same approach.

After three years of building robots with EV3, the team transitioned to Spike Prime, unlocking the exciting features of the new system. Inspired by their senior team, these young builders and technicians embraced Python to program their robot. Their feedback highlighted the benefits of the switch, including easier construction and more precise control, confirming the move to Spike Prime as a step in the right direction.

It's time for Girl Power to shine again! In this MASTERPIECE season, the all-girl team developed an interdisciplinary project merging arts with STEM. Their innovative creation features a low-cost touchpad made with copper tape on any surface, powered by Arduino. Using Python and OpenCV, the team programmed a projection mapping tool, TouchDesigner, unlocking new possibilities for artistic expression through affordable technology. This groundbreaking project redefines the boundaries of creativity and innovation. Girls rock!
