What did SolversMind FLL teams achieve in the 2025-2026 season?
During the 2025-2026 UNEARTHED season, SolversMind Robotics’ FLL teams earned awards across regional, provincial, national, and international competitions. All five teams won at least one regional award, and four advanced to the Ontario Provincial Championship. FLL Team 52777 Solvers of X & Y won the regional Champion’s Award, retained the Ontario Champion’s Award for a second consecutive season, qualified for the 2026 FIRST Championship in Houston, and earned the Robot Design Finalist Award internationally. Chrono Solvers won Robot Performance Award, 1st Place, and Champion’s Award, 2nd Place, then earned Breakthrough Award, 2nd Place, at the Canada Cup, an international invitational premier event. Together, these achievements gave SolversMind two international FLL award recognitions during the season. Future Solvers, the youngest SolversMind FLL team, won the Core Values Award, 1st Place. Unknown Solvers and Solvers of Infinity also earned regional awards. The season demonstrated SolversMind’s focus on engineering, innovation, teamwork, mentorship, and student leadership.

Snap2Splat - An Innovative for Digital Perservation
Our project makes archaeological 3D modeling more affordable, accessible, and community-driven. Through our app, tourists can upload photos and videos of artifacts and historical sites, allowing the public to contribute directly to preservation research. Our system organizes these uploads and uses 3D Gaussian Splatting to create detailed digital replicas without expensive equipment or specialized operators. By combining public engagement with advanced 3D technology, we help protect cultural heritage and make it easier for researchers, educators, and communities to access the past.

DecoScript - A Machine Learning Solution to Decode the Ancient Scripts
By applying machine learning and evaluating multiple models, we developed a system that can recognize and interpret ancient scripts, progressing from simple Teachable Machine prototypes to more advanced computer vision training with Roboflow. Beginning with Chinese, the platform is designed to expand to Arabic, Indian, Persian, and other writing systems, while a BERT-based model predicts contextual meaning and reconstructs missing or damaged portions of inscriptions. This approach can help archaeologists analyze ancient texts more efficiently and gain clearer insights into past civilizations.

Meet Sparky!
Sparky is Chrono Solvers' compact, high-performance SPIKE Prime competition robot, featuring a stable dual-caster drivetrain, front-and-back motorized outputs, and four quick-mount passive attachments that complete 14 sub-missions with speed and precision. Inspired by FRC Team 10015 Bubbles, several attachments incorporate a lightweight chain-driven mechanism to improve power transmission, synchronization, and reliability while introducing students to real-world engineering concepts. Combined with Python programming, adaptive PID control, and intelligent motion profiling, Sparky delivers fast, accurate, and highly repeatable autonomous performance.
