ONT District North Bay Event FINALIST!

We are honoured to finish as District Event Finalists at the 2026 ONT District North Bay Event, ranking 2nd overall with a 13-4-0 record.

A special thank you to our amazing alliance partners, FRC Team 610 Crescent Coyotes and FRC Team 6864 GryphTech Robotics, for their incredible teamwork, trust, and collaboration throughout the event. Competing alongside such strong partners made this achievement even more meaningful.

As a second-year FRC team with a robot and program built entirely through student work, earning Finalist at such a competitive event means a great deal to us. This result is more than a competition achievement. It is proof that our student-driven model works.

At Bubbles, we believe the right mindset is the foundation for building the future of young minds. Through design, manufacturing, coding, testing, strategy, and teamwork, our students continue to show that when young people are trusted, challenged, and supported, they can achieve extraordinary things.

This event was also a milestone for our team in many ways. In addition to finishing as District Event Finalists, Bubbles received the Excellence in Engineering Award, and our team captain, Ryan Zhang, was recognized as a District Championship FIRST Leadership Award Semi-Finalist.

We are incredibly proud of our students, grateful to our mentors and supporters, and inspired to keep building, learning, and growing together.

There was also a powerful moment after the finals, when our team captain felt the pain of coming so close and falling just short. That moment reminded us that growth does not only come from winning. It comes from disappointment, reflection, and the courage to learn from the experience.

This is what makes FIRST so special. We compete with everything we have, but we never forget that we are part of one larger family. We push each other to be better, while treating one another with respect, kindness, and appreciation. It was a true demonstration of Gracious Professionalism, and a lesson our team will carry forward.
